To begin with, introduce yourself to the wedding guests. Say something like "Good evening, friends, relatives, and guests. As I am not nearly as popular as my beautiful sister, the bride, I will begin my maid of honor speech by introducing myself. I am, for those who do not know me, the bride's very proud little/older sister. Because of that trivial detail, it wouldn't be much of a surprise to you to know that I am the bride's maid of honor as well."

"Given that privilege, I stand here in front of you to welcome you in this celebration and to thank you for your presence. Forgive me, though, for this speech which I must honestly say I haven't prepared for that much. Not to mention that I am not that good of a public speaker, so please do bear with me."

"Anyway, congratulations to the bride and groom! I've been hanging around close enough to know just how much the two of you love each other. I know that you have had rough moments, but you pulled it together. You got through all the challenges you faced in your relationship, and now, you're married. You're facing a new life ahead, and I'm pretty sure that you're going to make it."

"To my brother-in-law, be forewarned: Break my sister's heart, and you'll have me to answer to. But seriously, please love her and never give her up. Marriage is not always easy. You will not always agree on things, but I hope and pray that your love remains stronger than anything. So again, congratulations, and have a happy life together."
