Feed+: Chrome app to create Google+ RSS feeds
It feels kinda strange that Google has not integrated RSS feed capabilities into its social networking site Google+. I do know quite a few users who would like to subscribe to certain Google+ users via RSS to receive information about posts in their RSS reader.
A few hacks have come and gone in the past that added RSS feed capabilities to Google Plus. Google Plus Feed for instance is a third party service that turns public messages of a Google+ profile into an RSS feed that you can subscribe to in programs such as Google Reader, RSS Owl or my current favorite program Great News.
Feed+ is a Google Chrome app that offers more than that. Even better, it has been created by a Google employee which should add a bit of trust to the app. And trust is something that you need, considering that you need to be signed in to a Google account to add it to your browser and authorize it to access certain data sources.
You can start the program from the browser’s new tab page after installation and authorization. The app supports two different types of feeds:
Public user feeds: this turns all public messages of a selected user on Google Plus and turns it into an RSS feed. To create the feed, you either need to enter the profile ID which you find on the public profile page on Google+, or the full profile url.Search results: this creates an RSS feed from a selected search term. It combines all public posts that include the search phrase.A click on the preview button generates a preview of the feed which allows you to verify that everything is displayed correctly. You can then click on the add button to add the feed to your library on the app page.
Each feed listed here links to a generic RSS feed url and Google Reader. If you are not using Google Reader, you simply need to copy the RSS feed url into your program of choice. Please note that the feeds remain active even if you remove the app from Google Chrome. It is not really clear how to de-authorize the application, the Google authorized access listing does not include the script. The app in addition is limited to Google Chrome.
Feed+ is regardless of that one of the best options of creating RSS feed from Google profile listings and Google+ searches.

Opera 7.5 Mini for Android introduces new social Smart Page
If you are not using Google Chrome as your browser on your Android smartphone you may have at least looked at Opera’s offerings for the operating system. According to the statistics on Google Play, the browser has been installed on at least 10 million devices. Opera Mini 7.5 has just been released for Android phones running Android version 1.5 or higher introducing a new Smart Page and other features in the version.
You are probably wondering why Opera is making available two different browser versions, Opera Mini and Opera Mobile. The main difference is how pages are rendered using the browser. Opera Mini uses Opera servers to render pages while Opera Mobile renders pages on the smartphone directly. This makes Opera Mini ideal if a smartphone’s hardware is not the fastest as it removes the time it takes before the pages are displayed on the screen.
Back to Opera Mini 7.5. Smart Page is a new social tab in the browser that taps right into popular social networking sites to keep you updated with the latest activities. The browser supports Facebook, Twitter and vKontakte, and once you have signed in on the browser you receive the latest updates right on the page without having to visit the sites directly.
Another addition is the My News section which displays news from a variety of sources based on your browsing habits or your preferences. Opera Mini furthermore displays link suggestions on the start page based “on the region your Android phone is located” in.
The speed dial feature is just a tab away in the browser, and since data gets compressed when you use Opera Mini, you benefit from faster browsing and reduced bandwidth usage, which is especially helpful for people who pay per Megabyte or with a plan that is only providing them with a low amount of free bandwidth per month.
Opera Mini 7.5 is available for download on Google Play.

Park Cursor Aside Moves The Mouse Cursor When You Start Typing
Have you ever had issues with the mouse cursor being in the way when you started to type on your computer? Since you usually activate the text field with the mouse, for instance on websites, you often end up with the mouse cursor being in the way. With the mouse cursor blocking some characters in your text, you sometimes need to move it around, for instance before you start editing the text that you cannot see because of the cursor.
I reviewed Auto Hide Mouse Cursor back in February here on Ghacks, which automatically hid the mouse cursor after some time of inactivity. While that sounds very handy when watching videos for instance, it also offered a solution when using the keyboard on the computer. The program hid the mouse cursor on mouse inactivity, and let you use the keyboard and other input devices as usual.
Park Cursor Aside is another free program for that purpose. It automatically moves the mouse cursor to a designated position on the screen as soon as you start typing. The default setting moves the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen after three keystrokes.
The portable program works right after you start it up on your system. A right-click on the program icon in the system tray open a context menu with options to disable the program functionality, and to configure the program’s settings.
The settings menu, which you see in the screenshot above, allows you to change the following preferences:
Change the position the mouse cursor is moved to (1=top, 2=right, 3=bottom, 4=left, 5=center)Change the number of keystrokes that are required before the mouse is moved away (from 1-9)Park the mouse a few pixels away from the screen edge, useful if you have a toolbar there for instance that gets automatically activated when the mouse moves into the regionSlide mouse to parking position. This visualizes the movement to the selected positionPark mouse related to screen (1) or active window position (2)Park Cursor Aside is not as flexible as Auto Hide Mouse Cursor. Especially the fact that the latter does not move the mouse may be more to the liking of users who would like to hide their mouse cursor when they type. That does not make Park Cursor Aside a bad program. On the contrary, it will definitely attract users who find it useful.

Kirara Encoder, Free Portable Video Encoder For Windows
If you download a lot of videos from the Internet, you probably end up with them being in different video formats, unless you happen to download them all from one source. The program displays information about the video output in the main interface. Once you are satisfied with your selection, you can click on the start button to start the encoding process. A preview is shown during the encoding process.
Many of the program’s features are hidden in the interface. You can right-click a video for instance and select Segment / Crop from the context menu to crop the video or segment it. This is done directly in Kirara Encoder.
Verdict
A great program for all versions of Windows from Windows XP to Windows 8, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. If you are looking for a versatile video converter that is easy to use but with advanced features for experienced users, I suggest you give it a try.
