Mountain biking like Martin could save your life

It's a bold statement to make but mountain biking my way is definitely going to change your life forever. It's true that you need to b able to get out and do the exercise necessary to keep yourself healthy all the time, but you also need to be able to manage and maintain the equipment side of things as well. Not only do you need to be fit a and strong enough to handle any outdoor trip on your bicycle, but your bicycle also needs to be able to handle any tough situation out there that you may encounter at any stage of your ride. That means you need to be out on the bike six or seven days a week peddling your heart out just to make sure you can handle the stress. It also means that you have to buy a bike that it capable of handling the terrain that you are planning to cross.

If you just want a road bike, then you will need something light weight and sturdy to keep you going and won't weight you down. As a personal Martin Simich recommendation, if you are going to go hardcore and do all the off road stuff then you will need something with shocks and a solid frame to handle any bumps, knocks and jumps that you might encounter along the way. It's a sad thing to admit, but a decent bicycle is going to cost you a fair penny to buy and you will definitely need to save up for it if you want to take it seriously. The costs do not stop at the bike though; you also have to consider the costs for riding gear, helmets, gloves and possibly even a hydration system to keep you hydrated during your ride. You can stick to the normal water bottle if you want, but the amount of liquid in there is often limited and you could run out quite quickly. Proper cycling gear is well padded in the crotch area because you have to be comfortable on your seat. If you have to ask any cyclist how their rear ends feel after long ride they would most likely tell you that it gets pretty sore. If you can get as much cushioning in there as possible then you should be alright.

Other than that, it's important to get the right nutrition to make sure you have enough energy to burn while you are riding. You need to make sure that you are equipped for the ride and that you are physically capable of doing so.

Mountain biking the Martin way

If I had to consider myself as a professional I would have to say that I'm a better marketer than I am a cyclist and the reason for that is purely because I prefer to be more creative than I do being active. That's not to say that I don't enjoy the outdoors, but I do enjoy it for one particular reason. When I'm out on a ride and watching the road sail past me at record speeds I tend to think about my next move for all my marketing clients that I do consulting work for. However, it is never actually about finding ways to make your work life work, so to speak, it is all about getting out there, doing some exercise and breaking free from all the regular hum drum that one experiences in their everyday lives. What you think about while you are out there is really entirely up to you, and if you want to spend it thinking about work then that's okay, as long as you find it constructive and it doesn't bother you.

Personally I like to promote cycling and being outdoors, whether it be on the road itself or exploring some rugged terrain that not many people have crossed. My Martin Simich motto for cycling has always been a simple one; Do what you love best and always do your best for the things you love. It's a simple saying that has a lot of meaning and is quite pertinent to most things in life and as long as you stick to the things you love most and you do the bet you can when you do them, then you will never be unhappy with your life. As a personal life philosophy I believe that people need to live their lives to the fullest and they need to do the things that make them happy. On another note, I think that people should spend more time outdoors to get a feel for nature and a feel for the world around them. If you can get in touch with nature then you will really begin to experience a freedom that is incomparable to anything you have ever known in your whole life. For me, it has to be cycling, but you might be able to do the same thing with climbing, hiking or simply spending time in your local botanical gardens.

Either way, it's good for your health to keep fit and stay active so that your body can build on itself and get healthy and there is no better way to do it then the outdoors.

Tips for going pro with Mountain biking

Mountain biking is definitely one of the best outdoor sports you will ever experience in your life. You get the freedom of being able to go wherever you want and do whatever you want without having to worry about anything at all. As long as you avoid damaging your natural surroundings as much as possible, you really can go crazy out there. However, if you are a bit more serious about the whole thing and you want to do it professionally then you need to start getting into the right channels and getting the exposure you need to make a success of your cycling career.

It's not always an exact science but getting into the professional stream for cycling is not going to be an easy one no matter who you are. I, Martin Simich, have a humble opinion about how to go about this and it is not to say that it is the perfect way to go about things, but at least you can start off somewhere and head off in the right direction from there. If you do come across something different then at least you can contact me and say that I was talking a load of nonsense. The first thing you need to do is get good. You need to be beating most of the people in your pack and you need to be able to stand out when you are busy racing. That means you have to be fitter, leaner and faster than most of the people in the competition. Once you get to that point, only then can you start considering approaching the big companies and asking for sponsorships for your races. If you really need to take things seriously, then you need to think about joining a team, or at the very least putting one together on your own. Your team mates need to be just as good as you are and all of you need to stand out amongst the competition in order to get a sponsors attention. The way it works is that if you have enough people following your team and cheering you on then you have enough people to make a sponsorship worth the money that your sponsor is going to be paying you for each and every rate.

If you want to get really good, you will need to spend as much time as you can on the bike, building up your stamina, strength and endurance capabilities in order to withstand some of the challenges you are going to face, and when you are ready to keep up with the best you will be ready to go pro.
