Acting is a beautiful career full of rewarding experiences. The main problem with such a career is that it doesn't come easy, but as the saying goes, nothing good comes easy and this is especially true for the entertainment world. The road to success and Hollywood is a tricky one and it will test your skills to the limits. So if you are thinking of starting an acting career it is better to know from the start that it won't be easy.
First, you should know that actors have a hard time finding a job. You do not enter the entertainment world by having a degree in theatre arts and you certainly don't become famous that way. Auditions are sometimes the only way you can become an actor. Some auditions are only held for extras, but you can find some that offer more important roles. Becoming an extra can have its advantages too, as you'll be on the filming platform close to the director, producer and the big stars of the movie, but this doesn't necessarily means that they will pay attention to you. You can work as an extra and at the same time practice your acting skills and go to auditions to try and score a more important role!
