Come To Bristol

As one of the biggest cities in the UK, Bristol has one of the desirable cultural centres. It is a city that is constantly innovating in its technology, and is awash in history from the times of discovery, slavery and piracy. It has a youthful, up-and-coming vibration because it is a university city, luring visitors from near and far to sample what it has to provide. There is something for youth and elderly alike. Lately, Stag and Hen Nights have added to the cultural mix, but do not take away from what the city extends.

There are plenty of road, rail or bus links to help you to get to your desired location. Of course there is shopping amongst the other plentiful activities, for example, sight-seeing, attractions, parks, sports and leisure pursuits, and the diverse nightlife. If you want to remain in a hotel for one night or a bed and breakfast for a longer break, all of the activities are backed up by a regalia of singular types of accommodation.

There are lots of attractions to take in for example the Bristol Aquarium located at the Harbourside, with its life-size sunken ship; wander through the seahorse display and watch the stingrays and tropical sharks flying around in the water. Furthermore, there is a marvellous twenty-first century science and technology centre, At Bristol. This installation is teeming with interactive hands-on activities, such as the chrome-plated, other-worldly sphere that is the Planetarium. If you favour to be alfresco there are more sights to see, are fond of Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge; you could always see the Westonbirt National Arboretum. It has 16000 rare and beautiful trees all on its easily accessible 600 acres. After walking around Old Down Country Park, observing the llamas, wallabies and reindeer, you could have a cup of tea in their cafe.

For a more cultural sight-seeing trip, go to see Banksy's artwork on Frogmore Street, Thekla and the Mild, Mild West. He is an anonymous internationally renowned graffiti artist from Bristol, whose work is thought-provoking. If you would like a bit of a fright then the Haunted and Hidden Bristol tour is for you on a Friday evening or go to the Harbourside and meet up with Pirate Pete for a walk to tell you of Bristol's Pirate yesteryear. Shop at The Galleries or Cabot Circus to spend an hour or two, or you could go to take in a film at the Cinema Delux and its 13 screens.

If you still want to get out and about after all that, go to the oldest pub in the city, The Llandoger Trow for some food and drink and then have a boogie at Mr Wolf's. If you want something more lively, go to Las Iguanas for a drink or Woo Woo for a cocktail. A more laid-back place is Racks Bar in Clifton Village. Oceana is the venue to finish off the night. A bit of clubbing!

Thus, no matter who you are, there is something for you in Bristol.
